The Challenges of AFTA and Problems for Brokers
• The members of Indonesian Association of Real Estate Brokers (AREBI) are prepared for the ASEAN Free Trade Area 2002 by gradually certifying the skills of property brokerage
• Through the certification, then only the brokers who pass the Training & Certification Examination are allowed to operate in Indonesia. This certification is also recognized by the Department of Industry & Trade.
• That is about time the property brokers in Indonesia are recognized as a profession, not simply known as traditional brokers, but more as professional marketing consultants.
